Brooklyn Nets face off New York Knicks
Brooklyn Nets forward Kevin Durant leads Brooklyn into a match up against the New York Knicks. This is considered the battle of New York due to the fact that both of these teams are respectable. They also having promising seasons thus far. Durant leads the league in scoring with 29 points per game, according to ESPN.
The Nets remain 3-0 in division games. To the contrary, they rank last in the league in scoring within the paint per game, with 39 points. However, the Knicks are 3-1 in division games, and they rank fourth in the three-point shooting, 37%.
Durant continues to make his case for MVP this season. Debates seem to come up for MVP between Durant and Warriors point guard Steph Curry. Durant is averaging 29 points, eight rebounds, and five assists a quarter through the season. Nets point guard James Harden is averaging 22 points over the last ten games for Brooklyn as well. The Nets struggled early, however, they seem to have found a way to reconnect and have taken huge strides in the month of November.

Additionally Alec Burks, a skillful guard for the Knicks team has been aiding their performance by providing 13 points and five rebounds per game. Notably. In the last ten games, the Knicks are 5-5 while the Nets are 7-3. There’s no secret the Nets are the superior team on paper; however, the Knicks are known for finding ways to win or making it difficult to beat them. Nonetheless, these teams both have immense respect for one another.

“I mean, he’s just KD,” Randle continued. “He’s skilled. I think it’s different with him because, I mean, he’s obviously an extremely explosive athlete. He’s fast and quick, but he’s been so skilled for so long that I think his game way more relies on skill than athleticism and all that type of stuff — smart and skills. So he’s relying on that more than anything.”
