Cardi B has filed to divorce husband offset all over again. This time around, it is what has been described as really up-and-down. The couple got secretly married in September 2017 and has a daughter named Kulture.
Their marriage has been a whirlwind romance that has seen very public reconciliations and breakups. Cardi B filed for divorce for the first time in 2020, where she, of course, mentioned irreconcilable differences, among other things, and she even wanted to ignore the court’s request to fix the marriage.

In 2020, the couple broke up when Cardi B filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable difference. Shocked fans were surprised with this report, but the two got back together when Offset publicly apologized; he even begged for another chance. Cardi B later wrote that they finally had their problems resolved and now are dedicated to making things work for the sake of their family.
The newest filing for divorce follows months of rumors and scrutiny in the public. Cardi took to Instagram Live to explain what led to her decision and said it had nothing to do with her husband being unfaithful to her this time. She explained further that it was the constant fighting and that they could never meet each other in the middle that really brought her down, and she felt it was time to move on before things got wrong.
“There’s no big incident. I just got tired of the arguments and the moment she said it, the constant disagreements. I knew this wasn’t the way I wanted to live,” Cardi B shared with her followers. She added that it was not an impulsive decision but an action of being responsible for her and her daughter’s sake, providing them a healthier environment.
Court documents initially reflected that Cardi B was filing for primary physical and legal custody of Kulture, child support, and an equal division of marital assets. However, the artist corrected herself in a new filing this week upon realizing that what’s actually needed is joint custody. It shows her willingness for an amicable co-parenting situation and a fair setup for their daughter, Kulture.
