On October 22, 2024, Cardi B went on Instagram Live to speak about a very disturbing situation: Child Protective Services coming into her home. The visit was indeed called in by an anonymous call that alleged some child abuse in her home, and she was highly emotional from the event.
The CPS visit occurred at the residence of Cardi B, around 11 PM. The authorities took action based on a call from an anonymous individual who claimed her three children-6-year-old Kulture, 3-year-old Wave, and her newborn daughter were being maltreated. The unsubstantiated allegations against the children had Cardi in shock, which she shared with her estranged husband, Offset.
An incensed Cardi B took to Instagram Live, shocked at what had occurred.
“People have taken things too far, which is when you mess with my kids,”
She said, visibly upset. Cardi then went on to declare that her children have always been taken care of but damned the prank as irresponsible and damaging.
“Are you f—ing dumb? This is when the pranks start getting too far,”
She added that she was frustrated at being attacked. In that same live stream, Cardi mounted a feisty defense of her parenting and relayed that she spared no expense on behalf of her children. This included paying for Kulture to attend a $45,000-a-year private school while a nanny looked after her newborn, costing $700 a day.
“My kids have never been touched, never gotten hit,”
She said, appalled anyone would question her evident skills of being a great mother.
“Don’t ever play with my motherhood or my ex-husband’s fatherhood,”
Cardi warned.
Cardi B also declared her intention to file a lawsuit over the incident. She said that she now plans to sue CPS for both the disturbance and for hiring a private investigator to find the prank caller.
A fuming Cardi added,
“If you’re a boy, my baby father is gonna beat you the f— up. If you’re a woman, me and Hennessy are gonna beat you the f— up because you’re playing with my kids.”
The words of Cardi were suggestive of the tested state in which it had placed her case of invasion of her family’s privacy and safety. The incident has left the public divided.
