It’s official. The coronavirus scared off Coachella.

Coachella 2020 has been postponed to October due to the coronavirus. The festival, originally set for April, will now take place on October 9 and 16. The decision was made to prioritize public health, as large gatherings pose a risk. The lineup and ticket purchases will be honored for the rescheduled dates. Attendees should stay updated for any changes and make alternative arrangements if needed. Other events like SXSW, Neil Young’s tour, and Pearl Jam’s North American tour have also been affected. It’s advisable to be cautious with ticket purchases and follow the latest news.

Additionally, Airbnb has tweaked it’s extenuating circumstances policy to include some cancellations due to the coronavirus outbreak.

The Treefort and Dreamville 2020 festivals are still taking place in the upcoming weeks, but we won’t be surprised if they back out too. Now is certainly not a good time for ticket purchases. But, if you already have tickets, we suggest you keep a close eye on the news and prepare to make alternative arrangements.
