Dallas Rapper Yella Beezy Indicted for Mo3’s 2020 Murder – Trapboy Freddy Wanted

Yella Beezy, whose actual name is Markies Deandre Conway, was arrested and charged with capital murder in relation to the 2020 death of rapper Mo3. Beezy is said to have hired Kewon White to kill Mo3 for a fee. His March 20, 2025, arrest is a major milestone in a case that has shaken the Dallas rap community.

Mo3, whose actual name is Melvin Noble, was fatally shot on November 11, 2020, in broad daylight while he was traveling on Interstate 35E in Dallas. According to police reports, the shooter, later identified as Kewon White, emerged from a dark-colored vehicle with a gun and approached Mo3’s stopped truck. When he became aware that he was in imminent danger, Mo3 attempted to flee on foot, but White followed and shot him multiple times.

The bystander, a man who was in the area, was also hit by gunfire and received non-life-threatening injuries. The public and brazen nature of the attack created a wave of shock in the music community and created concerns regarding violence in hip-hop.

Yella Beezy was taken into custody on March 20, 2025, on a grand jury indictment for “capital murder for remuneration.” According to the indictment, Beezy “intentionally and knowingly” participated in Mo3’s death by contracting Kewon White to do it. White was arrested a month later and is presently serving a nine-year jail sentence for firearm charges in this matter.

Beezy was reportedly arrested in the Dallas County Jail and is pending future legal action. His arrest follows there having been rumors and speculations in the music community for years regarding his potential involvement in Mo3’s death.

The authorities also identified a wanted suspect in Mo3’s killing as Dallas rapper Trapboy Freddy, whose real name is Devarius Dontez Moore. Sources in law enforcement report that there were new leads that implicated Moore in plotting and carrying out the crime. Moore has a history with legal issues and was previously arrested on federal charges of having weapons in 2022, while a tiger cub was found in his house.

The investigators are searching for Moore actively and are appealing to the public to provide any information regarding his whereabouts. While he denied his involvement in the attack before, this news puts his complicity in the deadly attack in doubt.

Two others were previously charged in Mo3’s death. Kewon Dontrell White was arrested on December 9, 2020, and was given a 105-month (nearly nine-year) federal prison term for a firearm-related crime. Another suspect, Devin Maurice Brown, was charged on April 23, 2021. His specific role in the killing is still under legal investigation.

The senseless killing of Mo3 was deeply rooted in long-standing beefs in the Dallas rap scene. Mo3 and Yella Beezy reportedly had a long-standing feud with each other and released diss tracks and social media shots. Mo3 and Trapboy Freddy also had a contentious relationship that played a part in animosities.

The rap world in Dallas has been rocked by devastating setbacks owing to ongoing violence among artists. Mo3’s death and ensuing legal action against his murderers served as a wake-up call to artists about the risks of such beefs and nudged them towards pursuing peace and unity in the music world.

The music community and fanbase are still reeling after Yella Beezy was arrested. One of Dallas’s best-known rappers, Beezy was a national sensation with his hit single “That’s On Me.” His arrest has left his fanbase and artists in general stunned and with a sense that justice has finally been served.

The police authorities remained tight-lipped on progress made in this direction and merely stated that investigations are continuing. Lawyers representing Beezy are still to make a statement on his defense. Colleagues in the music industry took to social media to offer their thoughts, with some demanding accountability and others questioning whether charges are legitimate. More broadly, the hip-hop community is still mourning Mo3 and lamenting violence on the rise in the music industry.
