The Road To Recovery With Music Star, Demi Lovato
Since her near fatal overdose in 2018, Demi Lovato has battled with her addiction. Recently she was able to return home safely from a treatment facility in her recovery. Sources tell multiple outlets, including PageSix, that the “Sorry Not Sorry” star is doing well. Plus, she will have a living companion during her transition.
Just two months prior, the 29-year-old pop star announced that she would no longer be up for the “California sober” lifestyle and take the proper steps in moving forward in her sobriety.
“I no longer support my ‘California sober’ ways,” Lovato writes on her Instagram story. “Sober Sober is the only way to go.”
Lovato’s Docuseries, Demi Lovato: Dancing With The Devil
In March of this year, the “Heart Attack” artist released a documentary series on YouTube, Demi Lovato: Dancing With The Devil. She opened up about her long-going addiction and that she still used alcohol and cannabis “in moderation.”
“In the series, she mentions that she avoids telling herself that she can never drink or smoke marijuana. She feels that such an approach sets her up for failure due to her tendency to think in extremes. Having been conditioned to believe that even a single drink is as harmful as using a crack pipe, she recognizes the need for a more balanced perspective.”
While the singer/songwriter continues to work on herself physically and emotionally, according to PEOPLE, Lovato is “committed to her well-being.” Until then, she is focusing on the ways to grow from here.
The ‘Fresh start’
Last month Lovato showed her new hairstyle on her Instagram story and which was removed in the spirit of her “fresh start.” From using meth and heroin to surviving three strokes and a heart attack, the “Met Him Last Night” star is making the right turn to save her life.
Demi Lovato now uses the pronouns they/them after coming out as non-binary early this year, she continues to push towards the light. She is working towards a better lifestyle for herself.
