Diddy Demands $100 Million from NBC Over False Murder Allegations About Kim Porter

Sean “Diddy” Combs is hitting back hard. The music mogul has filed a massive $100 million defamation lawsuit against NBCUniversal, Peacock TV, and Ample Entertainment, accusing them of spreading false and damaging allegations in the documentary Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy. According to the lawsuit, the documentary recklessly portrays him as a serial murderer, a rapist, and a sex trafficker—claims that he says are entirely baseless.

The lawsuit argues that NBCUniversal and its partners intentionally spread false information to boost ratings. One of the most outrageous claims in the documentary suggests that Diddy played a role in the 2018 death of Kim Porter, his longtime partner and the mother of three of his children.

However, Porter’s official autopsy report states she died of lobar pneumonia, and authorities never suspected foul play. Despite this, the documentary allegedly suggests otherwise, fueling speculation and conspiracy theories that Diddy calls completely false and damaging.

The documentary also compares Diddy to Jeffrey Epstein, painting him as a “monster” who engaged in sexual misconduct with minors. Diddy’s legal team insists there is no evidence to support these claims and that the accusations come from discredited sources.

Diddy’s attorney, Erica Wolff, did not hold back in her criticism of NBC and its partners.

“This is a blatant and deliberate attempt to destroy Mr. Combs’ career and reputation. NBC, Peacock, and Ample chose sensationalism over truth. They profited from lies at the expense of professional journalism and basic morality.”

The lawsuit argues that the network knew these allegations were false but aired them anyway. Diddy seeks $100 million in damages for severe reputational and economic harm.

Diddy, who has built an empire from music to fashion to liquor brands, insists that his success makes him a target for lies and exploitation. He claims the documentary was designed to destroy his legacy and turn the public against him.

So far, NBCUniversal has not responded publicly to the lawsuit. The documentary has sparked a fierce debate online, with some fans defending Diddy and others believing the accusations should be taken seriously.

Media expert Dennis Byron suggests that the public perception of Diddy is at an all-time low, largely due to the wave of lawsuits and negative press surrounding him.

“Diddy has always been a powerful figure in the industry, but right now, his empire is crumbling. People don’t want to associate with him, and social media is only making it worse.”

With millions of viewers consuming content online, the impact of such allegations can be career-ending—even if they’re not true.

This lawsuit comes as Diddy is already embroiled in serious legal battles. He was arrested last year following multiple accusations of sex trafficking, assault, and other crimes. His former girlfriend, singer Cassie, was the first to publicly sue him for rape and abuse, though they settled out of court. Since then, several more accusers have come forward with similar claims, leading to his arrest and ongoing legal troubles.

Even with these charges hanging over him, Diddy refuses to let his name be dragged through the mud without a fight. His lawsuit aims to hold NBC accountable for what he calls “reckless reporting” and to protect what remains of his legacy.

Defamation cases are difficult to win, especially for public figures like Diddy, who must prove that the defendants knew they were spreading false information or acted with reckless disregard for the truth.

If Diddy wins, it could set a huge precedent for how media companies handle documentaries about celebrities. If he loses, it could further damage his already struggling reputation.
