Diddy’s Lawyer Vows to Fight Charges: “We’ll Fight Like Hell”

Sean “Diddy” Combs has found himself deep in trouble legally as he has been indicted on federal charges of sex trafficking and racketeering. A federal grand jury accused him of orchestrating decade-spanning patterns of abusive behavior. Indictment papers say that Diddy, along with his other accomplices, termed the “Combs Enterprise,” utilized his power and influence to instill fear and force women to engage in these staged sexual events, which were termed “Freak Offs.” Some of the events were filmed, in addition to being truly horrific.

These “Freak Offs,” described in the indictment, allegedly involved not only sexual abuse but also coercion-emotional and physical. The charges paint a deeply disturbing setting where victims were reportedly manipulated through fear and control. The set of allegations is among the gravest that Diddy has faced in his career-a high leap from other civil lawsuits about abuse that have already marred his reputation.

Facing some pretty hefty charges, however, Diddy’s legal team-with his very famous attorney Marc Agnifilo at the helm-took almost no time to find its voice. Agnifilo wasted no time in mounting a blistering defense for his client, called him innocent of everything, branding the indictment as unfair and expressing disappointment relative to the prosecution decision to press ahead on such charges.

Agnifilo emphasized how cooperative Diddy had been during the probe, even relocating of his own volition to New York in expectation of the indictment. He did this as a pre-emptive strike to make clear how seriously he would take the charges against him.

A new twist has been thrown into the case against Diddy by his ex-lover with the filing of civil suits against him for being abusive. The thing is, these charges make it a federal case, and the ante has been reasonably raised against the music icon. The legal team is bracing itself for what may be a protracted courtroom battle, as the indictment describes allegations as serious as forced sexual encounters and the drugging of victims.
