Disabled Man Sues Rick Ross Over Car Show Accessibility Fail

Rick Ross is under legal fire due to a lawsuit filed by a disabled guy named Darris Straughter, who claimed he was promised a wheelchair-accessible shuttle bus to the event. Straughter, represented by counsel John Hoover Esq., is now suing Rick Ross for breach of contract, unjust enrichment, and violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). He is requesting damages, as well as an injunction to require the car show to accommodate people with disabilities in the future.

Straughter said he contacted the venue two weeks before the car show event to make his accommodations due to traveling in a wheelchair. He waited to be picked up by the shuttle bus in the parking lot, but it did not come. He then went back to his hotel without attending the event. The lawsuit also accuses the promoters, who said they would refund everyone who did not make it. Straughter is yet to hear from them.

Poor coordination that was carried out rose an outcry regarding the Car & Bike Show between long lines of queues, no wristbands, and lousy shuttle services. The organizers claimed that the persons, lack of access, would be refunded their funds by Car & Bike Show, but, unfortunately, Ross and the organizers failed to respond promptly to the case on Straughter. Rick Ross has not responded up to now publicly on the case.
