Ex-Disney Channel child star Skai Jackson was arrested for a misdemeanor domestic battery charge on August 9, 2024, after the celebrity had a public altercation with her boyfriend at Universal CityWalk in Hollywood, California.
According to police sources, security guards in the area witnessed Jackson and her boyfriend arguing. That argument allegedly became heated and turned physical. According to security cameras, Jackson is said to have pushed the boyfriend several times before security stepped in and called the police.

When police arrived, Jackson and her boyfriend firmly denied having had a physical altercation. They said their relationship was going great—she’s happily engaged and pregnant—but it turns out security footage given to the police told another story. It was after viewing this tape that officers felt they had enough probable cause to take Jackson into custody on suspicion of misdemeanor domestic battery.
Jackson was arrested, but he was released after a few hours. Things have since got out into the public domain and also the media; various speculations have been coming up concerning the relationship of the couple and the details of the fight.
The case is still currently under review by the L.A. County District Attorney’s Office, which will eventually come to a decision as to whether or not to prosecute Jackson. There has been no public comment from the actress thus far, and representatives have been mum, likely waiting on the decision from the DA.
