Drake has announced his upcoming sixth studio album, Certified Lover Boy. In a surprise appearance on Sound 42’s “Fry Yiy Friday” on SiriusXM, he shared an update on the highly anticipated project, stating that it is almost finished. He will be returning to Toronto this week to work on the album’s mixing.
Drake shared that he will be returning home to mix the album, and he mentioned that his daughter is excited to hear the new tracks. He expressed his eagerness to reunite with his dog and complete the album.

Drake assured fans that his sixth album, Certified Lover Boy, would be released by the end of January. A knee surgery forced that back, and since then the rapper has been extremely tight-lipped about a new release date, only going as far as to say it would be out by summer’s end. And, as of now, at least, it seems he’ll make good on his promise.
“I’m grateful to be back on my feet after dealing with an injury. I went through a tough time, but now I’m fully recovered,” he shared on a previous episode of OVO Sound Radio.
“CLB is currently being cheffed in every way possible…I’m back in the studio with 40 tough.
I’m just really excited about the music that we’re making and I feel like I’ve locked into a zone where I’m really trying to execute on a project that’s fulfilling for my soul.”
