No Album Release for Drake in January
Drake’s highly-anticipated album “Certified Lover Boy” will be delayed. The 6 God announced on his Instagram Story that CLB won’t be dropping as expected.
Following his recent knee injury, which caused him to undergo surgery in 2020, Drake says rehab took time. His recovery took up a lot of time and energy, resulting in a further delay of the project into 2021.
“I had planned to drop my album this month, but due to surgery and rehab, my energy has been fully dedicated to recovery,” he wrote. “I’m grateful to be back on my feet, feeling great, and fully focused on the album. However, CLB won’t be dropping in January.”
Drake’s Little Hiatus
Drake remained silent about Certified Lover Boy’s release date in recent weeks, but he finally addressed the confusion on social media. As a matter of fact, his response came after a rumor caught fire on social media. Tuesday, singer Charlie Puth falsely claiming Drake was “dropping on the 21st.”
Drizzy had a relaxed New Year in the Bahamas, where he spent time with Meek Mill, Lil Baby, and PARTYNEXTDOOR. It’s rumored that Drake even shot a video with Meek Mill during their vacation.
