ET Star, Henry Thomas was Arrested and Charged with DUI in Oregon
Henry Thomas the man who played Elliot in the cult classic ET will be phoning home from a Jail cell. The former child star was arrested in Oregon after police received a call about a car blocking a lane. Tualatin police confirmed to Fox News that Thomas was the man who was arrested Monday
After receiving the call police arrived on the scene to find the haunting of hill house star passed out in the car. Even more, After waking Thomas up the officers noticed that he seemed intoxicated and gave him a sobriety test. The former child star failed of course and was taken into custody.
Henry tried to get out of the arrest by telling the cops he was an actor and that he starred in ET. The cops were buying it though and arrested him anyway. He was talking to the Washington county jail and charged with a misdemeanor DUI charge.
Furthermore, According to US the texas native is still in custody and will be released when he is sober.
Former child stars have a history of run-ins with the law regarding drugs and alcohol. Becoming famous so early in your life expose kids to a lot of things they normally wouldn’t see until much later. Added by the fact that when you are a star people are more likely to say yes no matter what. Also having lots of money gives you access to almost anything you want. Which all combined is a bad mix for children under a lot of pressure.
Thomas eluded to this fact in an interview with the Daily mirror. He said due to all the fame and attention he received after the film, he became a hermit. ET is probably one of the biggest movies in the last 50 years and a role the actor will be known for his entire life.
While he is in Jail the first question he will probably get asked is, Do you want to Phonnnneee Hooommmee?
