Lil Nas X never fails to take the spotlight. He’s remained one of the most authentic and outspoken Black entertainers in the music industry. While he recently called out BET for refusing to highlight his musical prowess due to him being a queer Black man, Lil Nas X made headlines for a less stellar moment. The “Old Town Road” rapper posted a picture of himself posing amongst Taco Bell employees. Rather than fans praising the sweet moment, they decided to make “Elf” jokes.

It goes without saying that social media has a way of twisting and manipulating a situation to their liking. Internet trolls were incredibly harsh towards Lil Nas X’s recent post. The Atlanta, GA native took to Twitter and Instagram to share a photo of himself at a nearby Taco Bell, and the response was particularly brutal. The star was dressed in uniform and standing amongst his former co-workers. Everyone showed off their smiling faces in the photo, including the “Rodeo” rapper himself.
Anyone who follows the 23-year-old knows that he’s a huge fan of the fast food joint. Moreover, he partnered with Taco Bell to help promote the release of his debut album MONTERO. Additionally, he helped raise millions of dollars in student loan support that he eventually awarded to 725 college students. Even before making it big, Lil Nas worked at the fast food chain for some time. Clearly, the rapper has a soft spot for Taco Bell.
Here Come The “Elf” Jokes
Most people wouldn’t give a summer job a second thought, but the rapper chose to reminisce on the good times. Lil Nas X clearly has strong ties with the fast-food chain. While he posted a sweet picture among co-workers, fans mocked the post. In fact, many of them took to the comments to make “Elf” jokes about the rapper. Clearly, in the picture, Lil Nas X appears taller than most of the Taco Bell staff. Many poked fun at his height difference, with some fans posting scenes from “Elf” and making photo edits. Fans can be a real pain sometimes.
