Rapper Finesse2Tymes is in legal trouble again. Authorities have issued an arrest warrant for him after he allegedly made death threats against a woman who is acting as the guardian of his former mentee, an 11-year-old boy named FNG King. The incident, which took place in Humble, Texas, has stirred controversy, adding another chapter to the rapper’s complicated history.
According to reports, the dispute erupted when FNG King’s guardian and the young rapper visited the smoke shop to pick up another child. During the visit, Finesse2Tymes reportedly asked to speak with King. However, the interaction quickly took a turn for the worse, with King allegedly running out of the shop in a panic, exclaiming,
“They trying to send me back to Memphis.”
The situation escalated when Finesse2Tymes and his brother, FNG NoLove, allegedly approached the guardian’s vehicle despite her repeated pleas for them to stay away. Witnesses claim that Finesse2Tymes shouted,
“YOU GONNA DIE ON CAMERA TODAY,”
while his brother made threats that suggested he was armed. Fearing for her safety, the guardian contacted law enforcement immediately following the encounter.
Following the report, law enforcement officials launched an investigation, leading to an arrest warrant being issued against Finesse2Tymes. As of February 1, 2025, he has not publicly addressed the accusations, and authorities have yet to confirm whether he intends to turn himself in.
Court records indicate that Finesse2Tymes is expected to appear before a judge on February 18, 2025. However, the date could change if a grand jury indictment follows. With his legal history, including past charges related to drug possession and theft, this new case could have severe implications for his future.
Amid the controversy, FNG King has been vocal about his complicated relationship with Finesse2Tymes. Despite once looking up to him as a mentor, the young rapper has expressed frustration over what he claims was an attempt to control his image and lifestyle.
King has denied claims that Finesse2Tymes forced him to return home but criticized the rapper for trying to dictate his behavior.
“It’s still love for him, but to a certain extent,”
King said during a podcast interview, highlighting their falling-out’s emotional toll on him.
Additionally, King has alleged that Finesse2Tymes exposed him to dangerous activities, including gambling and drug use. A viral video surfaced in which King accused his former mentor of fostering an unsafe environment, describing instances where he felt neglected, including during a high-speed chase.
This isn’t the first time Finesse2Tymes has been in trouble with the law. The rapper, whose real name is Ricky Hampton, has an extensive criminal record, including multiple outstanding warrants. These include charges for marijuana and cocaine possession with intent to distribute, property theft, and tampering with a vehicle’s serial number.
In August 2023, he was arrested in Houston due to an outstanding warrant from 2018. He was also previously sentenced to four years in prison for violating probation related to a 2022 shooting case and had served five years for a federal weapons charge in 2018.
If convicted of the current allegations, Finesse2Tymes could face additional jail time, steeper legal fees, and a further tarnished reputation within the music industry.
Finesse2Tymes had taken FNG King under his wing at one point, supporting him in his early rap career. Their relationship seemed promising, but things have since fallen apart. Though details about their fallout remain unclear, the recent incident suggests lingering tensions between the two sides.
King, despite his young age, has already started making waves in the rap world. His guardian is now trying to keep him safe while navigating the challenges that come with being associated with a high-profile rapper.
