Former reality star and rapper ended up on the wrong side of the law yet again. Even at 62-years-old, Flavor Flav can’t avoid getting into trouble. Furthermore, the rap star has faced multiple arrests on everything from traffic violations to shootings. Unfortunately, some old habits die hard. Most recently, Flavor Flav got away with domestic violence case against his girlfriend.
Flavor Flav Receives Dismissal From Domestic Violence Charge
On October 4th, police arrested Flavor Flav at his suburban home in Las Vegas. Moreover, the star committed domestic violence against his girlfriend. The rapper and woman share a teenage son together. According to sources, the woman and child’s name were redacted from court and police documents. Clearly, Flavor Flav wished to keep his personal life out of the press.
Unfortunately for him, his arrest yet again made the news. Moreover, the reality star pleaded no contest in Henderson Municipal Court to a misdemeanor nonviolent coercion charge. According to his Attorney, he also admitted to taking a cellphone and paying all the court fees associated with the case. While Flavor Flav paid his dues, he also made bail at $3,000. Additionally, his attorney assured the courts he’s working to stay sober following his dismissal of the misdemeanor domestic battery charge. The star essentially got a pass.
The Rapper Has Evaded Arrest In The Past
As mentioned before, Flavor Flav has an extensive criminal history. Many of his arrests stem from cases involving several convictions on traffic infractions, assaulting his girlfriend in 1991, and shooting at his neighbor in 1993. Though, Flavor Flav faced arrest back in October 2012 in Las Vegas after threatening his then-fiancé’s teenage son. In 2014, the star pleaded guilty, but the case got dismissed again. Apparently, the rapper attracts trouble to himself.
