Florida native rapper Smokingskul has made it clear that he’s not a one-hit wonder. Giving up definitely isn’t an option for the emcee either. By the 6th grade, Smokingskul started dropping bars like nobody’s business. In 2018, he started taking music seriously and put out his music on SoundCloud. Furthermore, the Naples rapper started gaining attention by the Spring of 2019 after dropping “No Hook 2” after the song racked up 82.5K streams on SoundCloud.
Other heavy-tracks like 2020’s “Tesla”, “Ganja”, “Vlone” and “Dior” further increased the rapper’s presence in the underground rap scene. With every new track, the 19-year-old has taken the time to hone in on his craft. His attention-grabbing presence, rapid-fire flows, intense execution and his unique baritone voice have all aided to his rising success. Even if no one from his hometown believes in him, the rapper surely will change their minds in due time. Not to mention, he’ll have everyone tuned into artists from the “dark plugg” rap scene.
Recently, Smokingskul dropped the track and video for “Nina.” The single finds the Florida rapper boasting about being on a different level than his competitors.
Smokingskul Says His Competitors Can’t Hang With Him
Every rap artist has something new to offer. Though, it can be tough to know just what the music industry wants from artists at the same time. At just 19-years-old, rapper Smokingskul is still coming into his own. Even so, he’s clearly racking up attention with every new track. His fanbase continues to increase, leading him one step closer to ultimate fame.
Furthermore, his newest track “Nina” finds the Florida rapper continuing to challenge himself and progress in his career. Like any typical rapper starting off in the industry, though, Smokingkul makes a point of boasting about his rap skills and downplaying his competitors in “Nina.” Basically, he thinks he’s better than other newcomers. In the world of rap, there’s always a battle waiting just around the corner.
Despite Smokingkul going into typical rapper territory, the music video treatment makes for a thrilling visual. In every scene shot, we find the Florida emcee rapping below a series of mood-lighting, ranging from red to green and even white. He does so all while wearing a mask, as he’s rightfully keeping himself safe in these uncertain times. Clearly, the rapper knows how to keep himself grounded and his finger on the pulse.
What To Expect Next From The Teenage Rapper
A rap star in the making, Smokingkul knows just what the rap scene needs. His newest offering “Nina” may be just him as a young emcee flexing his skills, but his delivery makes for an interesting watch. Moreover, the rapper’s dreams of receiving a nod of approval from big-time rap stars like Drake and Chief Keef, might just be right around the corner. With a promising future ahead, Smokingkul is definitely an artist to watch for.
