Three suspects in the murder of Julio Foolio—Sean Gathright, Isaiah Chance Jr., and Alicia Andrews—made their first appearance in court in Tampa, Florida. There, Chief Judge Christopher Sabella denied these suspects bond, further keeping them jailed. Prosecutors presented new surveillance video evidence that was very instrumental in denying them bail.
Charles Jones II, aka Julio Foolio, was murdered on June 23, 2024, while he was having birthday celebrations in Tampa. The suspects are believed to be associated with Jacksonville gangs ATK and 1200, targeting Foolio, who was part of the rival 6 Block gang. According to investigators, the suspects followed Foolio and his associates to various locations in Tampa before ambushing him outside a hotel .
Surveillance footage revealed the suspects tailed Foolio in his mother’s car before getting off at a nearby hotel, where they started shooting at Foolio and his entourage. In the attack, Foolio was killed by a gunshot to the head while three others were injured in what became another shooting in an ongoing gang rivalry.
