Recognized as an esteemed quarterback for the Green Bay Packers and an imminent member of the renowned Hall of Fame. Aaron Rodgers has recently attained an extraordinary achievement by claiming the distinction of being bestowed with the highest salary ever recorded in NFL history. Thankfully, the dramatics are all coming to an end for Rodger’s decision this offseason. The back-to-back reigning NFL MVP is returning back home and likely to end his career with the Green Bay Packers as well.
The MVP signed a four-year deal $200 million extension which breaks down to $50 million per year, reported Jeff Kerr for CBS Sports . Not to mention, Rodgers plans to receive $153 million guaranteed as part of the extension. Rodgers considered retirement or being traded to the Denver Broncos. Rodger reassured all Packer fans he would be returning. However, he also stated the reports regarding the details of his deal are inaccurate.
Hey everyone, just wanted to clear some things up; YES I will be playing with the @packers next year, however, reports about me signing a contract are inaccurate, as are the supposed terms of the contract I “signed”. I’m very excited to be back 💪🏼 #year18❤️

Did the Green Bay Packers overcompensate?
The Packer wanted to make certain Rodgers returns by bringing his old QB coach out of retirement, franchise tagging Davante Adams, and allowing his power to input on certain personnel decisions. According to CBS Sports, Rodgers also has a clause in his contract where he can decide year-to-year if he wants to continue playing or not. Rodgers after winning his fourth MVP award, it’s not much anyone can say about his legacy going forward. In 2008 and 2009 was the last time consecutive MVP awards were one by one person, Peyton Manning.
Rodgers’s past three years is arguably been one of the best three-year stretches for any quarterback in NFL history. Rodgers is completing 67% of his passes, throwing for 12,416 yards, 11 touchdowns to only 13 interceptions. Not to mention, the passer rating of 109.2 within these past three seasons as well.
In summary, the Packers have successfully brought Rodgers back for the 2022 season. They still have a chance to win another Super Bowl with him leading the team.
