By Allie Gregory Published 11 hours ago Atlanta rapper Gunna set a blaze of rumours the other day, revealing some vague details about his label Fresh Stoner Life (YSL). After his controversial plea deal in the YSL RICO case, reports began to circulate about a strained relationship between Gunna and the label. But Gunna refuted that sentiment altogether, claiming his allegiance remains unwavering: “I’m still signed to YSL. Im still a player Im gettin.. nitted up cant nothin’ really broke meantaged
The news follows a rough stretch for Gunna. He reached an Alford plea to get out of prison in December 2022. This legal maneuver sometimes mistaken as an ordinary “plea deal” that requires an admission of guilt by the defendant in fact allowed him to acknowledge a strong prosecution case without technically pleading guilty. This decision, horrified some fellow rappers like Lil Durk and LIl Baby who went on to accuse Gunna of “snitching” for his freedom (a claim which Gunna fervently refutes).
Gunna shares an update on his current relationship with YSL: “I’m still signed to YSL, I’m still providing… We still pushin’… no paperwork has been changed” PIC.TWITTER.COM/VAXITTH2OV

Complicating things further is the fact that Young Thug – YSL’s founder- has remained entirely silent on social media. Thug has yet to publicly comment on their romance, but his behavior would suggest that the two aren’t doing so shabby. While some listeners analyze his lyricism for subs to a now without the lash atseen Guunna; Thug’s internet approval of Gunna continues because indicates seen as further backing.
However, Gunna is keeping his mind on the music amid off-stage drama. The announcement of His Forthcoming Project “ONE OF WUN” and Upcoming “The Bittersweet Tour” Prove a Determined Step Forward That commitment stretches to the music as YSL has a stable of talent including Strick and HiDoraah helping propel, pushing the label alongside. More than signed contracts, their impact has caught the attention of industry and genre powerhouses Future and Travis Scott.
One line that Gunna coda: You know how I’m comin’ (How you comin?) – And my heart is dumpent. But is this a genuine display of camaraderie or more just him diverting gears away from the mounting legal fingers wagging in his direction? The details of his deal may hold the answer. Though Gunna claims innocence, the Alford plea represents YSL accepting guilt in exchange for no appeal. He can be punished for being part of that label still.
Regardless, one thing is for sure: YSL has the spotlight critiquing its every move. Can the RICO case keep breaking down the Ghetto Union line, or will Gunna’s stand be enough to spawn imitators? Unfortunately, only time will reveal the ins and outs of this complex saga; but Gunna’s unflinching declaration has undoubtedly set social media ablaze with chatter about loyalty, legal realities and what it means for YSL going forward.
