Halle Berry has had it! The sex symbol is not happy with the way Drake used her image. The actress took to social media to call out the rapper after he posted the cover art. He promoted his new single with SZA on his Instagram.
Halle Berry Slams Drake for the Slime Photo
The image features Berry getting doused in green slime from the 2012 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards. The Monster’s Ball actress was not happy about Drake repurposing the throwback image. The image to promoted his latest track with SZA, called Slime You Out.
She claimed that Drake didn’t ask her permission to use the picture. Berry also claimed that Getty Images owns the rights to the image. One of her followers responded to the post with an explanation that because the image belongs to Getty.
They claimed he was within his legal right to use it since Drake likely paid to have it taken and shared on his Instagram account. Berry fired back with a fiery response. The 57-year-old actress didn’t specifically mention Drake in her Instagram post.
Though her 8.5 million followers understood that she was the subject of her frustration. A day after Berry’s post, Drake released the song and uploaded a cryptic photo on his Instagram in support of the collaboration with SZA. SZA also co-starred in the Michael Kors NYFW show video that went viral last month.
The One Dance rapper didn’t comment directly on Berry’s rant but uploaded the photo to his account with a wide-eyed and green heart emoji. The new song is a part of Drake’s eighth studio album, For All the Dogs. The project is due out Oct. 6. The rapper is currently on his It’s All a Blur Tour that will continue through early October.
