The end of 2020 supposedly marked the end of the novel pandemic. However, in 2021 Covid-19 continued its tirade across the country. With the daunting presence of a new strain in 2022, COVID-19 cases continue to rise in the nation. In the last few years, countless families have lost loved ones. Unfortunately, the rap community has also been severely affected by COVID-19. Several rap legends and even up and coming stars have lost their lives to the spread of the novel pandemic. Recently, Houston rapper D-Bando passed away from COVID-19. The rap community has lost another rising star, all before the start of his career.
D-Bando Loses The Battle Against COVID-19
Last week, the HipHop community suffered another loss. As mentioned before, Houston rapper D-Bando passed away from the novel pandemic. According to The Box Houston, the rapper passed away last Wednesday on January 5th.
Furthermore, his peers and family members shared their grievances. Even HipHop stars hailing from Texas, such as Slim Thug’s DJ engineer Sam Young, shared a few kind words in the wake of D-Bando’s passing.
“RIP D-Bando . . . We had more work to do homie! May God watch over your kids…. Y’all go stream my dog!” Young tweeted, asking fans to listen to D-Bando’s music.
The Houston star will be greatly missed.
The Houston Rapper Worked His Way Toward Success
In part, D-Bando worked hard to achieve success in the rap industry. Furthermore, the Houston rapper worked with several record labels, including CAN’T BE STOPPED, INC. Additionally, he did some collabs with major artists like Big Pokey and Quality Control’s Lakeyah. The promising star definitely will have a place cemented in the rap community.
