Some people’s vision won’t allow them to fail in life.
Major Recording Artist/Multi-Platform IAMJOSHSTONE’s unique vision and ability to persevere through challenges without compromising his moral foundation has allowed him to drive in an unconventional lane in rap culture. Seeing life from a panoramic view is reserved for natural-born visionaries. Understanding life’s unknown and distorted aspects enables him to create unrivaled storytelling and trigger deep–seated emotions within people.
His EP ‘Fated’ shows this commitment to the rich culture of Hip-Hop. As a culmination of IAMJOSHSTONE’s personal and musical journey, the ‘EP’ reflects his beautiful chaos and creative genius. A very candid and vulnerable collection of work that displays his raw talent and unvarnished viewpoint.
‘Fated,’ his second EP in 18 months, demonstrates this perfectly. In addition to heartbreaking honesty, self-reflective maturation, and lyrical God-flow, this EP is full of New York energy, making listening even more meaningful. The bravery of IAMJOSHSTONE in baring his soul for his God-given gift has paid off in unimaginable ways.
To achieve anything significant in life, you must be willing to risk failure. The lesson has been ingrained into JOSH STONE’s psyche and character throughout his career. A famous saying says, “the sky’s the limit.” It means that no matter how high we aim, we can always reach a little bit higher no matter what. This philosophy applies to most people’s personal goals and ambitions. It’s a lifestyle for some, though. Among them is JOSH STONE.
He transforms tragedy and pain into passion fuel. The subject matter of JOSH STONE’s music is often heavy, dealing with issues such as mental health, addiction, generational wealth, self-empowerment, and heartbreak, among many others. All the same, he articulates these messages with a feeling of confidence and aspiration that is unrivaled in Hip-Hop music. The reason for this may have to do with the fact that he has battled some of these demons and emerged victorious on the other side.
The mentality of Generation Z artists in 2023 is centered on flooding the music industry with singles in hopes of going viral on TIKTOK or FM radio. This accelerated process has diluted the purity of Hip-Hop and comprised its market value amongst music enthusiasts. Josh’s last two EPs ‘Therapy Sessions and Fated are re-establishing the honor and respect of core Hip-Hop fans, including Generation Z.
I’m listening to his record ‘Mercy‘ from the ‘Fated’ EP while riding my Peloton, and I immediately feel re-energized. The angelic chant, haunting bass lines, and soul-searching wordplay create a ‘Creed 3’ euphoria within my spirit. “Agenda driven blogs be like he’s a white Jay, intellectual as Pac try boxing me in like Ye, walking in my shoes, they couldn’t spend a day, not a sprint it’s a marathon like Nipsey used to say.” These lyrics illuminate Josh’s rare breed of psychological mastery and wordplay.
Fury of the White Tiger
Josh reminds me of a white tiger in rap culture. White tigers are more muscular, stronger, and more aggressive than the orange Bengal tiger. White tigers have sapphire blue eyes rather than the green or yellow-colored eyes of normal Bengal tigers, giving them an exotic look. Their nose is rose-pink, and their paw pads are pink.
Less than 300 white tigers remain on planet Earth. Exotic bounty hunters, village people, and tourists stay in awe of this species. Every aspect of a white tiger fascinates and mesmerizes a person’s imagination. Witnessing Josh perform live, bless the booth, or compose lyrics without paper symbolizes the aura of a ‘white tiger.’ In his prophetic words, “Fate plus destiny equals Fated.” IAMJOSHSTONE embraces vulnerability and delivers creative gold with ‘Fated.’
