American Rapper Ice Cube has claimed that his dis record “No Vaseline” trumps Kendrick Lamar’s Drake diss “Not Like Us” and Nas diss Jay-Z track “Ether“.
“No Vaseline” is a diss track from Ice Cube’s 1991 album “Death Certificate“. The song was written and produced by Ice Cube and Sir Jinx. This song is a literal scathing attack on his former group, N.W.A, which Ice Cube had left back in December 1989 due to the whole royalty fiasco. The targets of the diss are his former bandmates Eazy-E, Dr. Dre, MC Ren, DJ Yella, and their manager, Jerry Heller.
“I took out four motherf*ckers and the manager. You can’t beat that” references Ice Cube’s boast that he personally dissed all four members of N.W.A and their manager, Jerry Heller, in “No Vaseline”. He made this claim during an appearance on Cam’ron and Ma$e’s “It Is What It Is” show as well as during a performance that occurred in Oshawa’s Tribute Community Centre on May 9, 2024.
Ice Cube says “No Vaseline” is a better diss track than Kendrick Lamar’s Drake diss “Not Like Us,” and Nas’ Jay-Z diss “Ether.”

“No Vaseline” is perhaps one of the most vituperative diss songs ever committed to tape, and Ice Cube pulls out all the stops with caustic language to attack Eazy-E for his decisions in this matter. The song indicts both Eazy-E and Heller for exploitation through scathing lyrics and comments. Politically, Ice Cube also mentions Eazy’s attending a luncheon that raised funds for the Republican Senatorial inner circle held by then-President George H. W. Bush and repeated over and over again, “I never have dinner with the President“.
