Actor Hugh Jackman has split from his wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, after 27 years of marriage. They have two adopted children, Oscar, 23, and Ava, 18. Jackman adored his wife, often celebrating their anniversaries and milestones.

He admitted that it’s hard to maintain a healthy balance. The couple appeared as a happy and devoted couple right up until their separation. They appeared together at the Met Gala in May and attended the men’s final at Wimbledon in July.
In the past, they were often spotted out on scooter rides in New York City and swimming in the Hamptons. And in April, Jackman posted a sweet tribute to his wife on Instagram for their 25th wedding anniversary. Page Six reported that the split was a long time coming and wasn’t a surprise to friends and family.
An insider said that the couple simply grew apart and decided to separate ahead of his latest film, which is Deadpool 3, confirmed in February 2022. While it seems that Jackman and Furness are staying amicable, it won’t be easy to split their assets. They have two homes and numerous other properties, as well as extensive personal collections.
And the insider says it will be a very tricky and gut-wrenching process for them to divide everything up. Another example of the growing trend of older celebrities ending their long-term marriages. It’s a phenomenon coined “grey divorce,” as the number of older adults splitting from their spouses has skyrocketed.
It’s believed that the high rate of grey divorce has been partially caused by the rise in popularity of online dating. Despite his recent divorce, Jackman is still committed to his children and the success of his upcoming projects. He’s shooting Deadpool 3 with Ryan Reynolds, which is expected to be released in May 2024.
He’ll also appear in the upcoming sequel to The Greatest Showman and will direct a musical version of Finding Neverland.
