It’s Official Trump Has Been Impeached Again…

The likelihood of someone getting impeached in a lifetime is rare. However, the likelihood of someone getting impeached twice is historic. Somehow, President Trump has done just that – by becoming the first president in US history to be impeached twice. But what does that mean for our nation?

Last week was a horrific moment for many. Watching thousands storm the capital, was incomprehensible. And at the head of it all was Donald Trump fueling racism and inciting riots in Washington. The recent attack on our democracy was more than enough proof to charge President Trump with endangerment to national security and several misdemeanors. During Wednesday’s vote, a total of 10 House Republicans voted to impeach Trump leaving the final tally at 232 to 197.

It also seems as though his allies are slowly retreating as well. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, made headlines after he told his colleagues that he remains undecided when it comes to voting to convict President Donald Trump at his coming impeachment trial.

This new vote allows the Senate to proceed with a trial days before he is set to leave office. Can things get any worse? Yes, they can. With the new passing, if the Senate chooses to convict the former President, lawmakers could block him from running, or bar him from ever holding public office again. He could also lose his benefits, perks, and living subsidies, including; Pensions, government allowance, reimbursement for travel expenses, lifetime security services, health benefits, and funeral honors.

Do you think convicting the president is too extreme or exactly what he deserves? Think about it, President Clinton was impeached for less. Tell us your thoughts below.
