The event will feature the Louisville native performing songs from his latest album, as well as his fan favorites. It will also stream live on the SiriusXM app. During the performance, Harlow will join a full band and effects on stage as he sings and raps his hits.
Harlow first made waves with his debut studio album, Come Home the Kids Miss You. The project received well by critics as well as the fans. It was also nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Rap Album.
This past month, the 25-year-old rapper won songwriter of the year at the SESAC Music Awards 2023. This actually marks the third consecutive year that he received an honor such as this. In addition, his single “First Class” took song of the year.
Dollar Shave Club, GNC, Liberty Mutual Insurance, Rosetta Stone, and more have their hands in the event. It is a part of the SiriusXM and The Chelsea Presents series, which features small-stage concerts with some of today’s biggest artists. This is not the first time that a SiriusXM-sponsored artist has taken their show on the road.
Last month, the network teamed up with Lizzo for a Planetarium-esque lightshow in New York and London. They also worked with Harry Styles for an invite-only hometown show in Detroit. While these events certainly aren’t for everyone, they offer a potential model for a new kind of tour.
This brings local businesses on board to help promote the shows. Which could make them more accessible for fans without the hefty price tag of a major festival or show. Hopefully, we will see more of these kinds of partnerships in the future.
