Jacob Elordi is no stranger to the spotlight. The Australian actor rose to fame in the US through his role as Nate Jacobs in the critically acclaimed series Euphoria and his appearance in the popular Netflix rom-com The Kissing Booth trilogy. He also proved his versatility as an actor by starring in two major movies in 2023: Emerald Fennell’s Saltburn, a thriller about a journalist who uncovers a dark secret, and Sofia Coppola’s Priscilla, a biopic about Elvis Presley’s wife. Elordi has a unique connection to SNL, as the show’s creator Lorne Michaels serves as a producer for Priscilla. This will be Elordi’s first time hosting SNL, and we can’t wait to see what he has in store for us.
Reneé Rapp is a multifaceted talent who can sing and act with equal flair. She is best known for her lead role as Leighton in the Max teen comedy The Sex Lives of College Girls, created by Mindy Kaling. The show follows four roommates who navigate college life, love, and friendship. Rapp also released her debut EP, titled “Everything to Everyone,” in 2022, showcasing her powerful vocals and catchy melodies. She performed her single “Tummy Hurts” on Late Night with Seth Meyers in October 2023. The critics and fans loved it. After that, she appeared on SNL. Rapp will also star as Regina George in the Mean Girls musical remake, which premiered on January 12, 2024.
SNL is back after a short break. It had a Christmas special hosted by Kate McKinnon. The special had former cast members Kristen Wiig and Maya Rudolph. The show has been on fire this season, delivering hilarious sketches and memorable performances. With Elordi and Rapp on board, we can expect more of the same.
