    Jacqueline Avant Fatally Shot, Suspect Arrested In Beverly Hills

    The life loss of Jacqueline Avant, the beloved wife of music icon and film producer, Clarence Avant and mother-in-law to Netflix Co-CEO Ted Sarandos. The philanthropist was shot dead in her Beverly Hills mansion on Wednesday, Dec. 1, in her home.

    Following their arrival at the scene of the crime police discovered an 81 year old individual suffering from gunshot wounds and immediately rushed him to seek medical attention. The unfortunate news was conveyed through a report compiled by law enforcement in Beverly Hills stating that regrettably. The victim succumbed to his injuries. Moreover it was revealed that upon arrival of authorities the suspected assailant had already made their escape. Comparatively perplexing no additional items were reported missing from within dwelling and no other individuals emerged harmed.

    According to a statement from Chief Mark Stainbrook of the Beverly Hills Police upon receiving a distress call at 2:30 am both law enforcement officers and medical professionals promptly attended to the residence where they discovered the injured victim. The police chief believes the suspects had a motive behind coming in and that this was not just a random attack.

    “Someone went into the home, we don’t know the purpose behind it,” the chief said. “I don’t think it’s a random attack, but I can’t speculate on that.”

    A security guard was at home during the incident, but he would not speak about the interaction between the suspect and the victim.

    The search ends now. Beverly Hills police have arrested Aariel Maynor, 29, of Los Angeles, in connection to the killing of Mrs. Avant. In a brief news statement, the chief announced a few things concerning the case, and many were eager to know.

    Maynor used an AR-15 rifle during the burglary and then shot himself in the foot at another home during a second alleged burglary attempt in Hollywood, police said.

    Authorities said that multiple surveillance cameras showed the suspect vehicle heading east out of Beverly Hills after the shooting.

    The LAPD’s Hollywood division was called to a home on Graciosa Drive where they found a man in the backyard with a gunshot wound to his foot. The watch commander recognized a connection and promptly notified Beverly Hills. The suspect is now in police custody.

    Surveillance footage and other evidence, including the rifle, linked Maynor to both incidents. However, the motive behind the shooting is still unknown. Maynor, who has a lengthy criminal history, was on parole at the time, as confirmed by the police.

    In a statement released on Thursday, Stainbrook emphasized, “Beverly Hills is an exceptionally safe and well-guarded city. We have a zero-tolerance policy for any form of crime within our community.”

    Mrs. Avant has impacted the world, and the verdict the police have chosen serves the justice she deserves. Family, friends, and all of the people she has held throughout her extraordinary life will miss a lovely woman.
