If you’re a fan of Joe Budden, you already know that he has a way with delivering blunt commentary. That’s why it wasn’t surprising when he went on social media to double down on his criticism of Hollywood star Michael B. Jordan for a recent red carpet interaction with a radio host.
According to TMZ, Jordan caught up with Lore’l, a Baltimore-based radio show host, at a screening of Creed III last week and had an awkward moment. He reportedly made an obnoxious remark to her about calling him corny in their school days, and the podcaster wasn’t too happy with the exchange.
When he was a kid, he and Lore’l attended Chad Science Academy in Newark, NJ, and while the two are no longer together, they’ve since bonded on Instagram and podcasts like The Morning Hustle. They also have a lot in common, including their love for sports and a mutual interest in rap music.
Is Joe Budden Hating again?
Now, both have experienced significant success in their careers. This year, Jordan was named PEOPLE’s Sexiest Man Alive and he recently received his first star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
He’s been a big name in the entertainment industry since 2003, when he appeared on “All My Children.” After gaining traction in the spotlight, Jordan’s reputation steadily grew. He’s now one of the most prominent stars in the world.

But, while many people think he’s had his moment in the sun, there are some who still have issues with his success. Especially if he continues to date white women.
It’s no secret that Budden doesn’t have the best reputation when it comes to women — he’s been accused of trolling and discrediting Megan Thee Stallion, cussing out Vivica A Fox, beating a pregnant woman until she miscarried and more.
Was Michael B Jordan in the wrong?
However, it’s his recent comments about Jordan that are going viral and generating a bit of backlash. In a recent episode of his self-titled podcast, he slammed the Creed III star for his racially inappropriate encounter with Lore’l on the red carpet and called him corny for it.
As a result of his harsh comments, the Internet has piled on with their own critique. A few users alleged that he was discriminatory because Jordan is Black, while others were pointing out his own history of making disparaging remarks about Black women.
After catching some flack for his controversial comments, Budden took to his Instagram Story and responded to the backlash, doubling down on his claims against Jordan. He wrote that “if any other Black multi millionaire embarrassed a woman working on a red carpet cuz she thought he was corny in 7th grade y’all would call him a lot more than corny.”
