Kanye West, has returned to the headlines with a crazy and extremely divisive tweet that shocked the internet and thrusts old scandals into the limelight.
Early in April 2025, Ye tweeted:
“Kris Jenner just forwarded me Kim and Ray J the deal for filming part 2 of the sex tape. I’m like Not without Caitlyn.”
People on the internet couldn’t believe their eyes. The tweet had gone viral within minutes, eliciting shock, amazement, and macabre laughter. Some called out Kanye for tasteless jokes. Others were baffled, questioning whether this was one of his erratic stunts or something more serious.
There isn’t confirmation of any such contract from Kris Jenner for a second sex tape. The tweet seems more like an odd prank than an actual fact. Nevertheless, the mention of Caitlyn’s name further raised more eye-brows. Was Kanye making a joke, sarcastic, or stirring the pot?
Social media was filled with responses that spanned from
“What the hell is wrong with him?” to “This man needs a therapist, not Twitter.”
Some teased that the tweet was so ridiculous that it should be used on South Park, while others were more concerned with Ye’s mental state and his constant fixation on the Kardashian-Jenner family.

Kim Kardashian’s fame will always be associated with the 2007 premiere of her and R&B singer Ray J’s sex tape. The video, leaked reportedly by Ray J himself without her knowledge, became a pop culture sensation and, according to most arguments, opened the door for her fame and the entire Kardashian family’s reality television dynasty.
Years have passed since Kim attempted to move on from the scandal, starting a billion-dollar company, becoming a mother, and also getting involved in a law career. Yet the tape keeps trailing her—and isn’t that the first time that an attempt has been made to bring it back into the public eye? Ray J made headlines once more in 2022 by stating that the sex tape was not leaked but was a meticulously planned business venture. Ray J accused Kris Jenner not only of involvement but also of watching numerous versions of the tape and selecting one where Kim “looked most attractive.” It was claimed by him that there was even a signed agreement for three different tapes.
These allegations renewed public interest—and criticism—regarding how the Kardashians first entered the public eye.
Kris Jenner, on her part, has maintained from day one that she was not involved with releasing the tape. Even on The Late Late Show with James Corden, she went ahead and took a polygraph test to prove that she was not involved in spreading the tape. The polygraph indicated she was not lying when she claimed not to have played any part in distributing the tape.
Still, Ray J holding firm on his account and Kanye adding further fuel, the story will not go away.
Ye commented on the tape previously. In 2022, he stated that he flew out to see Ray J and personally took away a laptop that had a purported secondary sex tape. According to him, he offered the laptop as a symbol of love and protection to Kim.
Kim’s team later made clear that the laptop contained only “vacation material” and nothing sexual. Ray J also quashed rumors of a second tape, deeming the whole incident a dark page in his life that he wishes he could forget.
The most odd thing about Ye’s tweet will likely be the phrase
“Not without Caitlyn.”
Caitlyn Jenner, Kris Jenner’s wife of more than 20 years, has kept quiet as much as she’s been able to regarding the drama of the sex tape. On her 2023 appearance on the docuseries House of Kardashian, she explicitly explained that she had no clue about the original tape and that Kris never brought it up with her.
