Kanye West Finally Goes On A Much Needed Break, Vory Shares Details

Since divorcing Kim Kardashian, Kanye West has had a rather tumultuous time with the media and everyone within walking distance. He lashed out at his former friend Pete Davidson for dating his ex-wife. The Grammys even removed Ye from their lineup after he called this year’s host Trevor Noah a racial slur. After exhibiting such heinous acts, it’s time for Kanye West to leave the spotlight for a while. It looks as though that much needed break has finally come around after Ye’s friend and Donda collaborator, Vory, confirmed the news.

Tavoris Javon Hollins Jr., otherwise known as the rapper Vory, has remained a long-time collaborator and loyal friend to Ye. Recently, the Grammy-winning artist spoke with Complex about his recent album Lost Souls that dropped last Friday. According to sources, the 17-track record contains a collaboration with Ye, a song titled “Daylight.” Additionally, the GOAT rapper helped produce Lost Souls alongside the great minds of E. Vax, Ojivolta and even 88-Keys. Clearly, Vory knew the right people to call to make his new album a smash hit.

Furthermore, Vory discussed his upcoming album release party and revealed that Ye refused to attend. The rapper noted that his friend has a lot of personal issues to sort through and plans to take a much needed break from music.

“He’s taking a year off, and he was like, ‘Damn, you think Vory is going to be mad at me if I don’t go to his release party?’ And I was like, ‘Nah, you’re straight, bro’,” he told Complex.

Luckily, the star has remained a good friend to Ye.

While Ye helped produce and featured on Lost Souls, Vory returned the favor. Being a good friend, the 24-year-old featured on Donda’s album. Though, the Grammy-award winning rapper didn’t just appear on one song, but five. Unfortunately, their collaboration featured on Vory’s Lost Souls was scrapped from the Donda album entirely. Furthermore, Vory explained to Complex that Ye’s team thought they should leave it at three features and call it a day.

Clearly, the two are huge fans of each other’s work. Even better, they know when the other needs a much needed break from the spotlight.
