Kate recently shared a new photo, the first one since the video message in March when she made the emotional announcement, from which her resilient and positive spirit could be seen. And regarding the future appearances, she has already confirmed she would participate in the King Charles’ Birthday parade, Trooping the Colour, on 15 June. In that way, the duchess will perform her first public engagement after her diagnosis.
“It really has made the world of difference to William and me and has helped us both through some of the harder times. I am making good progress, but as anyone going through chemotherapy will know, there are good days and bad days. On those bad days you feel weak, tired and you have to give in to your body resting. But on the good days, when you feel stronger, you want to make the most of feeling well. ”
The candid message by Kate continued to explain that she is still undergoing the treatment, which is expected to run for a few more months. Kate said that she was pleased that she had the opportunity to be involved in the school life and also have some personal time to do all that gives her energy and a good feeling in her. She ended with the statement that even though this situation has not been easy she is highly hopeful and is looking forward to attending The King’s Birthday Parade together with her family and perhaps other public engagements later this summer.
”My treatment is ongoing and will be for a few more months. On the days I feel well enough, it is a joy to engage with school life, spend personal time on the things that give me energy and positivity, as well as starting to do a little work from home. I’m looking forward to attending The King’s Birthday Parade this weekend with my family and hope to join a few public engagements over the summer, but equally knowing I am not out of the woods yet. I am learning how to be patient, especially with uncertainty. Taking each day as it comes, listening to my body, and allowing myself to take this much needed time to heal. Thank you so much for your continued understanding, and to all of you who have so bravely shared your stories with me.”

In March, Kate also announced that she was undergoing chemo, which prompted a storm of “get well” wishes from literally all over the world, before which she is making “good progress” in her treatment, albeit with ups and downs along the way. She reports having “good days and bad days” but was still good about her future.
On good days, Kate makes the best use of her time with school and moments of joy and positivity to undertake a little work from home. While almost all the letters have moved her, it is the letters and messages of support and encouragement that have made all the difference for her and Prince William.
She tests her determination and strength by participating in any such event of this magnitude. Kate, while admitting not being “out of the woods yet,” is hoped to join a few more public engagements throughout the summer. She was extremely thankful for all the support she had been getting that, apart from being welcomed, proved to be a strength to her and Prince William.
For her, Prince William has remained a great source of strength as he is very supportive. Balancing the duties of being royal with being a good husband, he has stood by her all the way. The solid presence of William, along with appreciation for their well-wishers, shows that family and community always are a great support in times of adversity.
Kate’s fight against cancer began after a routine operation slated for mid-January. Although physicians initially suspected that the ailment she was suffering from was not cancerous, subsequent tests carried out returned a verdict of her having it. The diagnosis journey has been an uphill but optimistic one, with Kate’s strong will demonstrated at every turn and twist she takes in the treatment she is undergoing.
In March, Kate spoke to the public and explained that she was off due to her cancer diagnosis. She described the emotional journey of learning she had the cancer after perception surgery, and the beginning of a course of preventative chemotherapy.
“In January, I underwent major abdominal surgery in London, and at the time, it was thought that my condition was non-cancerous. The surgery was successful. However, tests after the operation found cancer had been present,” Kate said. “My medical team, therefore, advised that I should undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy, and I am now in the early stages of that treatment, says Kate. This of course, came as a huge shock, and William and I have been doing everything we can to process and manage this privately for the sake of our young family.”
Kate has received messages and letters of support from the royal family and also from the public. Well-wishers can post letters to her at Clarence House or Kensington Palace. Some fans have even showed their support by taking part in cancer research and awareness campaigns.
Kate’s story is not just one of personal struggle but one of hope and inspiration. Her openness about her condition has led to awareness about cancer and thus given hope to many who face the same affliction. Indeed, her message is that despite the difficulties always, there is always room for hope and positivity.
Kate Middleton continues to be a pillar of strength and hope as she moves on to fulfill life’s expectations of her. The world observes and roots for her, given courage by the encouraging reports of her progress and inspired by her grit as she conscientiously attends to all her royal duties despite some very personal concerns.
