Kevin Feige has confirmed some exciting details about the upcoming “Fantastic Four” movie. He revealed that the film will be set in the 1960s, making it a period piece. It is a part of Marvel’s Phase Six and, specifically will be rather crucial for the further development of MCU. Principal photography on “Fantastic Four” will start in the last week of July 2024. The release date for the movie is to light up theaters on July 25, 2025. “Fantastic Four” is directed by Matt Shakman, who helmed “WandaVision.”

Since their 1961 introduction, the Fantastic Four—created by Jack Kirby and Stan Lee and often referred to as Marvel’s First Family—have been critical to the comic book world. Movie adaptations are shrouded in mixed success so far, and fans have long awaited a version that does justice to these cared-for characters. That puts them into the MCU with many new story opportunities, especially considering the roles they filled in major comic storylines .

While the lead actors will be Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm.

“Fantastic Four” represents so much more, though—it’s Marvel’s first family of superheroes. Originated from Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, the characters have been iconic in the comics but just haven’t seen a proper MCU treatment…until now.

The fans are waiting to see how Marvel Studios can adapt this beloved team onto the big screen.
