King Combs Claps Back at 50 Cent and Defends Father Diddy with Fiery Diss Track
Renowned rapper and entrepreneur Sean “Diddy” Combs’ son, King Combs, has come after 50 Cent with his recent diss track, namely “Pick A Side.” The track was released this past Sunday, May 12, and comes as a clap back at 50 Cent who criticized Diddy, his Spire network partner, due to legal issues.
There is no sympathy shown to those that came after King Combs’ family, with 50 Cent getting the most of it. In his “Pick A Side” lyrics, Combs also mentions legal issues, such as attending court with his father, federal agents’ raids on Diddy’s mansion this March, and more.

King Combs is referencing the raid above, providing a line with its built-in message: “Police raid the crib like they think we selling crack/But we out here selling tracks, multi-million dollar plaques.” This passage contains a distinct statement that creates a direct picture of the intent and the state of mind. Moreover, he used imagery to enhance the situation’s intensity and his endeavor to preserve his family’s face.
Furthermore, Diddy’s ad-libs on the track emphasize the level of support the hip-hop mogul offers his son in the struggle against adversaries and outsiders. Specifically, when addressing 50 Cent, Christian Combs admits the rapper’s influence on the New York hip-hop stage and elaborates on the two families’ rift.
As one might have expected, 50 Cent did not wait long before responding to King Combs’ tough talk and threats. Taking the fight to social media, the rapper posted: Additionally, the musician hinted at Christian’s involvement with the individuals suspected of assassinating Tupac Shakur in the 1990s, which further ignited the confrontation.
Ultimately, the source of the rivalry lies in 50 Cent’s public support of Diddy’s numerous legal disputes, primarily on charges of sexual harassment. Christian Combs, having been affronted by the latter, decided to incontrovertibly stand by his father’s side.
Christian Combs has rap in his blood. His mother was the late Kim Porter, a giant entertainment figure who parted ways in late 2018 and his son was handcuffed in that March raid against Diddy. In some measures, these facts make the verbal feud with 50 Cent feel more personal.
As the effect of the diss record spread through the hip-hop ecosystem, the King Combs vs. 50 Cent street was far from over. As things stand, the two jockeying MCs seem to put themselves in their corners. For king comb who continues to grow his career the diss words war can escalate more.
