Kodak Black Blasts Plies for Calling Donald Trump a Racist, Alluding to Shooting Being a Hoax

Kodak Black and Plies got into an argument in one of the recent heated exchanges over differing opinions on former President Donald Trump. The feud began when Kodak Black criticized Plies for his negative comments about Trump, particularly addressing Plies’ suggestion that Trump was involved in a hoax shooting.

Kodak Black did not hold back in defending Trump. In an impassioned statement, he said,

“We ain’t going for no Trump slander, you need to get off that sht. Trump ain’t did nothing to you. You rich just be rich, just fall back love, cause sht get mafioso boy, that sh*t get mafioso ain’t it? We all banging for Trump.”

Kodak’s remarks highlight his belief that Trump has been unfairly criticized and should be respected for his actions, especially within the Black community.

On the other hand, Plies has been quite vocal in his criticism of Trump for some time now. He constantly condemns Trump’s remarks that he considers to be racist against Black people. Many of his posts on social media describe strong denunciations of Trump and his antics as they pertain to attempting to pander to Black people while mocking all of the criminal charges levied against him. Plies makes rather plain that he does not view Trump as a positive influence on society and that he is not worthy of respect.

This very public beef between Kodak Black and Plies is just a reflection of the way things are with regard to Trump across the board in the hip-hop community. Some, like Kodak, simply view Trump as an unwarranted wicked man who has actually been pretty good. Other artists, though, such as Plies, think he has been hurtful and troublesome. Therein lies the division that lives inside of hip-hop with regard to Trump: how his presidency has affected their lives and careers.

The battle has also elicited split reactions from the fans. Social media is filled with even opinions. Some fans are standing by Kodak’s defense of Trump. In their view, he is grateful and outspoken. Other fans will agree with Plies that Trump has been hurtful in deeds and words, especially to Black communities. This division among fans mirrors the larger debate within the hip-hop community.

While Kodak Black versus Plies beef might be the most recent in a string of debates, it does show that there is a continuing discussion about Trump’s legacy and what that means to different communities.
