Kylie Jenner Criticized For Being Uncharitable
Kylie Jenner was called out for donating $5,000 to a GoFundMe for makeup artist Sam Rauda’s medical expense fund. Obviously it’s because she is filthy rich and fans expect her to be more charitable. Then the beauty industry icon put his GoFundMe page in her Instagram Story to encourage her fans to donate too.
Rauda’s family wrote on his GoFundMe page that ” he underwent major surgery on Sunday.” He recently got into an accident over the weekend. The donated money will help cover his medical expenses. In fact, the family raised $100,000 of the goal of $120,000.
Kylie Jenner Breaks Her Silence
Kylie broke her silence on social media this past week, clearing the air about her relationship with Rauda. She exerted that he’s not her MUA, but mentioned that the two have worked together in the past.
Kylie Jenner wrote:
“I want to clear up this misunderstanding. Sam is not my makeup artist anymore, but I worked with him a few years ago, and he’s a sweet person.
I saw Ariel, my current makeup artist and friend, post about Sam’s accident and his family’s GoFundMe. I immediately reached out to Ariel to find out what happened to Sam. After learning more about the accident, I felt compelled to visit his GoFundMe, which had a goal of 10k. They already raised 6k, so I contributed 5k to help reach the original goal. I also shared it on my stories to raise awareness for others to donate if they felt compelled to. His family is grateful for all the donations, prayers, and love.
Everyone who knows me knows that I do things from the heart and try to be helpful whenever I can. Let’s stay positive and keep Sam, his family, and anyone going through a tough time in our prayers. Have a beautiful day, and let’s encourage each other to help.”
The Calm After The Social Media Storm
Kylie reportedly spent 10 times the donated amount by paying $50,000 for her sister Kendall to get to New York.
Fans clapped back by saying it’s not Kylie’s responsibility to take care of someone who isn’t close to her.
