Sisterhood, Scandal, and Sushi: The Kylie Jenner and Jordyn Woods Reconciliation
Remember the summer of 2019? Season 8 was the scorched earth season of Keeping Up With The Kardashians from the scorched earth era of Kardashian-Jenner drama. Well, poor Jordyn Woods, Kylie Jenner’s bestie (nearly sister), literally became the most hated person on earth when she was accused of being with Khloé Kardashian’s boyfriend at the time, Tristan Thompson.
Jordyn – who has lived in Kylie’s home and been treated as a member of the family – was accused of the ultimate betrayal. Public backlash reached a fever pitch when Jordyn attempted to defend herself on an episode of Red Table Talk, hosted by Jada Pinkett Smith. But her account ran counter to how the Kardashians saw things, deepening the schism and firmly painting her as a loud and dirty back stabber.

Cut to 2024, where things don’t go as expected. Though once the inseparable Kylie and Jordyn, these two may have found their way back to each other after all. The couple were spotted picking up sushi together last year and rumors of a reconciliation were given more life after Kylie confirmed the rumors on an episode of The Kardashians earlier this month.
Kylie admitted, “it was good seeing her.” She noted it isn’t as strong as before, but they have a “healthy distance” between each other. They also now keep in “occasional contact”, Kylie says, revealing that they “refill” once a month. It seems that lo and behold — hail Mary, for some — the overwhelming media attention surrounding their supposed beef has at long last waned.
However, Khloé, the core victim of the betrayal has stood strong with her sister in what must be an extremely troubling time. As always a fervent advocate for female empowerment, Khloé advised Kylie to keep in touch with her girlfriends and live a life without looking back. She added: “I’m tired of the narrative suffocating the storyline between them as a friendship. Khloé misses out on seeing her sister, Kourtney, and after an ice-skating rink brings the ladies to tears, she swears she’s done with the drama, for City of Angels in a purely nurturing and uniting gesture.
“Needless to say, YOU CAN STILL BE TEAM KYLIE AND TEAM JORDYN,” she wrote, squashing the hypothetical approach to ‘Team Jordyn’ vs. ‘Team Kylie. They long to be able to go through life without having every detail of it examined publicly.
How it played out before the eyes of the world was a testament to time and forgiveness, a tale of Kylie and Jordyn. This serves as proof that no matter how public or publicly painful a falling out may be, it can still be solved with maturity, understanding, and a desire to progress. Their undying connection maybe changed into something new, but now, both of them could move-on to write the next page of their lives — Alone yet together.
