Lil Durk is being sued for his death by Saviay’a Robinson, who is well-known as Lul Pab. The lawsuit is following the fatal attack on Lul Pab in an attempt on Los Angeles rapper Quando Rondo in August 2022.
Lul Pab’s mother, Andrea Laquila Robinson, filed the case in Cook County Court, claiming that Lil Durk played a major role in orchestrating the events that led to her son’s death. The lawsuit, however, is not just against Lil Durk, though. His record label, Only the Family (O.T.F.), an unknown business manager, and an affiliated business have been sued. The family seeks closure and is asking for responsibility for a lost loved one.
Warren Postman, the attorney for the family, indicated just how shocked they are.
“The untimely death of Mr. Robinson stunned his community and his family. We have filed this suit in an attempt to make those culpable take responsibility and support his family in these difficult circumstances,”
He asserted.
This tragic case is tied to a deeper conflict in the hip-hop community. The roots of the issue trace back to the murder of King Von, a close friend and mentee of Lil Durk. King Von, whose real name was Dayvon Bennett, was killed in November 2020 during a violent confrontation outside an Atlanta nightclub involving Quando Rondo’s crew. The two rappers shared a bond that went beyond music, with Lil Durk often calling King Von his “twin” and “baby bro.”
The lawsuit suggests that Lil Durk allegedly sought revenge for King Von’s death.In August 2022, associates linked to Lil Durk reportedly tracked Quando Rondo to Los Angeles. At a gas station in West Hollywood, they attempted to take his life. The attack went horribly wrong when a cousin of Quando Rondo, Lul Pab, was murdered.
This is not Lil Durk’s first time in legal trouble. In 2024, there was another lawsuit for a death case involving Lil Durk in relation to Chicago-area rapper FBG Duck being murdered. Besides, Lil Durk is facing a federal trial on a charge of being part of a murder-for-hire conspiracy which, it is alleged, resulted in Lul Pab being killed.
A judge recently denied his bail request, declaring that he poses a threat to public safety and can attempt an escape. While his lawyers introduced a substantial bail package in which a $2.3 million property bail, a cash bail of $1 million contributed by Sony Music, and promises of stringent surveillance, the judge didn’t budge.
Prosecutors have implicated Lil Durk in a string of murders. He is accused of funding a murder-for-hire conspiracy in an attempt to avenge his brother in 2021. Yet another surprise, a new indictment reports Lil Durk masterminded in 2022 the killing of Stephon Mack, a suspected boss of the Gangster Disciples. Lil Durk, in keeping true to his trend, is accused of continuing to supply hits on rival-gang members, an indictment reports.
If convicted of these, which include conspiracy to commit murder-for-hire and using a firearm in a crime of violence, Lil Durk can face a sentence of imprisonment for life. He currently entered a not-guilty plea, although his legal battles have just begun. His case is scheduled for October 14, 2025.
Only the Family, Lil Durk’s hip-hop group, is a large component of the allegations. The lawsuit describes a group of members of Only the Family, including Deandre Wilson, Keith Jones, David Lindsey, and Asa Houston, being involved in a conspiracy against Quando Rondo. With reportedly Lil Durk-financing, the crew made a Chicago-to-Los Angeles trip, rented a fleet of exotic automobiles, purchased ski masks, and reportedly purchased guns, a fully automatic machine gun among them.
Top affiliate of O.T.F., Kayon Grant, is said to be in command of orchestrating the entire operation. The kin of Lul Pab believe that planning and resources of the collective directly caused the catastrophe.
The Robinson family is now taking legal action. The family is filing a lawsuit for compensation for Lul Pab, blaming Lil Durk and others for his untimely passing. The family is confident this lawsuit not only makes those who caused his untimely death face punishment, it will deter such tragedies in the future.
