Some celebrities attract controversy like magnets and it follows them wherever they go. Oddly enough, they have allies to stick up for them through the hard times. Most recently, Lil Durk gave a live performance of his hit track “Broadway Girls” with his collaborator Morgan Wallen. Furthermore, the country music star found himself wound up in controversy after using a racial slur during a public rant. Despite people accusing him of being a racist, Lil Durk vouches for the country music star. That comes as a huge shock.
The Rapper Brings Out Morgan Wallen On Stage
Nothing rocked the world more this weekend than when Lil Durk brought Morgan Wallen on stage during a live performance. Though, it wasn’t just any live performance. Lil Durk performed with the country music star during the Martin Luther King Freedom Festival.
On January 15th, the baby-faced emcee and his country-star collaborator took to the stage at the festival in Nashville. Sources say that Lil Durk seemingly “played to the city’s rich country history” by bringing Morgan Wallen on stage.
Furthermore, TMZ reported that Lil Durk boldly told the crowd that “nobody can cancel him without my say so.” That statement rings true for the artist, especially since he’s good at dodging cancel culture.
Lil Durk Vouches For The Country Music Star
While Lil Durk has managed to avoid cancel culture at all cost, his recent collab with Morgan Wallen might rub people the wrong way. Not to mention, Lil Durk even vouches for the country musician after his controversy surrounding his use of the N-word. According to Lil Durk, Wallen isn’t a racist. After having an in depth conversation with Wallen, Lil Durk told TMZ he isn’t canceled. He even went as far as calling him a friend.
Apparently, the two have grown close since their collab.
