Lil Gnar still uses his platform to try to spread awareness about nitrous oxide abuse. In his latest satirical video, Gnar teasingly showed the “wrong way” through a canister of nitrous oxide-also more commonly referred to as a “whippet”-by throwing it in a trash bin.
Nitrous oxide is one of the gases used legally by whipped cream dispensers and in medical use. Yet, the substance has gained increasing popularity with regard to its use for recreational purposes, notwithstanding the serious health risks that inhaling it can actually cause. Possible short-term effects cover dizziness, disorientation, and temporary euphoria; long-term results might be more serious, like nerve damage, heart problems, even death.

Despite the clear disclaimers by the company on the right application of the products in food preparation, canisters have recently appeared in viral videos and among influencer content many times being glamorized as a party accessory. This has contributed to the rise in recreational abuse of the product, in which the public seems to be underestimating health implications.
Lil Gnar decided to take the crown with the help of a funny approach in raising awareness against the growing Galaxy Gas misuse. In his video, he expressed his ostensible advice about the proper usage of Galaxy Gas, stating that canisters should go into the trash. The message was clear: these canisters should not be inhaled or treated as an innocuous way to add to the party experience.
Lil Gnar made an unusual sort of a public service announcement: calling out the misuse through humor, but his intent was dead serious. Nitrous oxide is legal for medical and culinary purposes, but inhaling it can have disastrous health consequences when done for recreational reasons.
Although it would seem harmless to people who inhale nitrous oxide, this substance may be the cause of severe health problems. The possible effects it can cause are dizziness, disorientation, and temporary euphoria, but its long-term effect can be highly destructive. This medication could frequently lead to oxygen deprivation, as it can cause unconsciousness, nerve damage, heart complications, and in extreme cases, death. Research also proved that this type of drug can cause destruction to the spinal cord when consistently abused, leading users to permanent physical incapacities in their lives.
Several countries have different legislation to control its abuse, and its use for recreation is totally prohibited under law. However, this widely available product in the form of whipped cream chargers often goes to the wrong hands.
