A bodyguard for rapper Lil Uzi Vert was arrested on Monday night in New York City for gun possession and impersonating a cop. Nelson, 40, was allegedly caught in a traffic stop with a loaded semi-automatic firearm that he wasn’t licensed to carry in the city. The bodyguard reportedly told police that he was a law enforcement officer during the stop, sources said.

The incident is similar to another recent celebrity case in which a bodyguard was charged with carrying an illegal firearm and falsely claiming to be a cop. In 2017, podcast personality Taxstone, also known as Daryl Campbell, was arrested after he lied about his identity and posed as a police officer during a traffic stop on a New Jersey highway.
