Rap sensation Machine Gun Kelly was able to really turn on the juice in his hometown last weekend as he hosted his sprawling annual celebration, MGK Day. From the 9th to the 13th, the city came alive with energy as thousands of fans showed up to be swept up in a whirlwind of music, community, and philanthropy.
It all began,átis Skate and BMX event to get the proceedings underway—setting the scene for a weekend of adrenaline-fueled rushes and creativity. As the day slowly bled into night, the fans wallowed deep in MGK trivia before being treated to a screening of his highly-acclaimed documentary, “Mainstream Sellout.”

At the core of it, though, was Saturday: MGK’s charity softball game at historic League Park. The event was much more than just a ball game; it was a special fund-raising drive for the Baseball Heritage Museum, an issue very close to MGK’s heart. The event really rocked, quite literally and figuratively—the meeting of fans, friends, and local celebrities showing solidarity and support for their community. The night was closed out with an extremely turnt afterparty at FWD Day Nightclub as Nelly left them speechless in surprises while the crowd attended, opening the way for more.
One of the most anticipated events in the weekend occurred on Sunday, August 11, where a massive motorcycle ride went down with MGK at the front and a convoy of bikers riding through the streets of Cleveland.
The ride started at Lee & Harvard Plaza and epitomized part of the unity and the rebellious spirit that MGK lives. Furthermore, it concluded with a block party on West 6th Street, whereby MGK hit the stage, accompanied by the surprise guests Travis Barker, Jelly Roll, and Tee Grizzley.
The Block Party was not just a musical extravaganza; rather, it was also a kind of charity drive where the attendees donated school supplies and funds for supporting the Cleveland Metropolitan School District. This spirit of donating carried over into Monday, which was a Service Day at 27 Club Coffee. Scores of fans formed long lines to get their hands on these very exclusive offerings. Proceeds would be for the benefit of local charities.
That same evening, things took a turn toward the very different with an Anime Night at Sora, once more showing MGK’s eclectic tastes and his desire to glue together communities that are very different. Activities for the weekend wrapped up on Tuesday, August 13, as MGK threw out the first pitch at the Cleveland Guardians game versus the Chicago Cubs from the mound at Progressive Field. In addition to being a memorable way to shut things down, a special gift—in preseason bag of 27 Club Coffee to the first 10,000 fans—was tacked on.
