With the FIFA World Cup in motion, many want to participate in hopes of what is going to be a huge celebration. Although in events like this not all countries participate, Colombia is one of those. But the well-known Colombian artist, Maluma got the chance to be the opening act at the World Cup.

In his younger days, Maluma played in the minor leagues of the National Athletic. One of the main teams of Colombia, but Maluma made it clear he couldn’t pass the first division. Because the pressure would anger him.

The ‘Hawai‘ singer got mad and left an interview after being asked about his participation at the World Cup in Qatar. A journalist from the state Israeli channel Kan TV questioned his opinion over a country that’s violating human rights. Also remind him that colleagues of him such as Dua Lipa, and Shakira denied participation because of this.

Maluma associated himself with Nicki Minaj and Lebanese singer Myriam Fares for the official song of the FIFA Fan Festival.

The singer said he did it for his love of soccer (fútbol).

“Everyone has their opinion, everyone has their way of thinking. For me being here is very important, I dreamed of this all my life. Being part of the official FIFA song for a World Cup, today is a reality… I dreamed and today it is happening”, said Maluma for ‘Buen día Colombia’.

In this case, the journalist insisted on the abuse of human rights. It was then that Maluma asked someone behind the cameras if he needed to answer. Then he just got up and left the studio mad.

In a video going around social media, the journalist is seen confused, while the South American singer storms off.
