Mark Zuckerberg and T-Pain Team Up to Re-record ‘Get Low’ as an Anniversary Gift for His Wife

Mark Zuckerberg once again showed his romantic side when he collaborated with T-Pain on a cover of the hit song “Get Low.” The project was special for his wife, Priscilla Chan, on their anniversary. This song has a special meaning for the two because it happened to be the song that played at their meeting during a college party.

Zuckerberg took to Instagram to share his exciting news and shared a behind-the-scenes photo of himself and T-Pain in the studio. He captioned, “‘Get Low’ was playing when I first met Priscilla at a college party, so every year we listen to it on our dating anniversary. This year I worked with @tpain on our own version of this lyrical masterpiece.”

The post in no time attracted the attention and love of fans, including a warm reply from T-Pain: “Happy anniversary. Thanks for letting me be a part of this.” Priscilla chimed in too, teasing, “Can’t get quite as low anymore but more in love and grateful for that love than ever. Love you MZ.”

Priscilla’s reaction was absolutely priceless. In a video Zuckerberg posted, she burst out laughing and expressed just how delighted she felt with this surprise. Asked if this ranked as the most romantic thing he’d ever done, she replied joyfully, “It’s so romantic. Twenty-one years later, I can’t get quite as low, but it brings back a lot of fun memories.” It is very much obvious that this present meant the world to her.

“Get Low” is the gold hit single by Lil Jon & the East Side Boyz, featuring the Ying Yang Twins. Its release in 2003 on their album “Kings of Crunk” made this song an almost instant party anthem that could also be referred to as memorable because of its beat and catchiness. It peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100 and has gone to be a staple of culture in movies, TV shows, and video games.

The re-recorded version, performed under the catchy name “T-Pain,” is now live and streaming on Spotify. Fans can enjoy this fresh take on a classic song, with proceeds going to the Save the Music Foundation to help support music education in schools. This adds an extra layer of meaning to their collaboration, showing the commitment of this couple in giving back to the community.
