To Disney Plus We Go
Marvel television’s head director Jeph Leob will soon be stepping down. Fans of the MCU might wonder what this means for the television aspect of Marvel’s content. It means slowly but surly, all of Marvel’s shows are going too soon disappear from TV.
What Happens Now?
Shows that are on air will finish up their current seasons. After they are finished, they will will no longer be in production. Any shows that are currently in development will be discarded. Shows such as Marvel’s “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” and “The Runaways” will have their final seasons and be shut down once they are finished.
It seems that Marvel has had this move in mind for a while now. With the frequent cancellations of shows such as “Cloak and Dagger”, “Luke Cage”, “Iron Fist”, “Jessica Jones”, “Daredevil”, and “The Punisher”, it’s easy to see that Marvel has been planning to pull everything from TV. New shows such as “WandaVision” and “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” will be arriving to Disney Plus very soon.
A mass lay off for employees is the rise once these shows end. Executive produces such as Mark Ambrose, Aimee Carlson, Marsha Griffin, Cort Lane, and Tom Leiber are some of the big names that are going to be impacted by this transition. We can only hope that they can continue their work on different platforms.
