Master P’s History of NBA Dreams
Master P’s NBA hopes span 30 years. P played for the Charlotte Hornets and Toronto Raptors in several preseason games in the 1990s. Now he’s set out on becoming a head coach of an NBA team – the New Orleans Pelicans.
P Hires Sports Agent Following Coaching Announcement
According to TMZ Sports, P recently hired Raymond Brothers of Roc Nation Sports. The agency is part of JAY-Z’s Roc Nation umbrella. Master P’s move is a step forward in his professional coaching dreams.
“Right now, I just hired a sports agent,” P told TMZ of the decision. “So, you know, to be an NBA coach, you have to have a sports agent. He’s a good friend of mine and he knows what he’s doing.”

“I’m not an X and O coach, but I understand people management,” he said. “We don’t need another X and O coach. (Stan) Van Gundy was an X and O coach, it didn’t work. Times have changed. I believe I have exceptional people management skills compared to any NBA coach.
Celebration off The Court
In addition to Master P’s coaching announcement, he celebrates more success. In fact, his former No Limit labelmate Mac was granted parole. Mac was finally released after 20 years behind bars on a manslaughter conviction.
“Welcome home soldier!” he wrote next to a photo of Mac performing while behind bars. “@macphippsofficial Let God guide you on this next chapter.”
