Megan Thee Stallion Sues Blogger Over False Claims Linked to Tory Lanez

Megan Thee Stallion has filed a lawsuit against social media personality Milagro Gramz, whose real name is Milagro Elizabeth Cooper. The lawsuit concerns the spreading of false information about the 2020 shooting incident with Tory Lanez, which has become one great chapter in Megan’s life and career.

Megan, whose real name is Megan Pete, has claimed that Gramz has acted as a “mouthpiece” for Lanez in a public crusade to “denigrate, belittle, and insult” her. This isn’t an issue of hurt feelings; serious issues are at play, such as cyberstalking and emotional distress.

According to Megan’s attorneys at Quinn Emanuel, things went further when Gramz posted a pornographic “deepfake” video of the rapper, a clear violation of Florida law that bans doctored sexual depictions.

Whereas the lawyers firmly said, “Enough is enough.” They have actually led them to understand very well that Megan, being a victim of violence and an outspoken woman, would not bear this harassment any more.

As Megan herself put it, this lawsuit goes way beyond her; it is a message to all who think they can misrepresent her online. “I have faced innumerable attacks on my character based on false narratives from social media bloggers misrepresenting themselves as journalists,” she shared in a statement. It is unacceptable behavior, and these individuals need to learn that there are consequences for posting lies and defamatory falsehoods.

Milagro Gramz, real name Milagro Elizabeth Cooper, has acknowledged the lawsuit filed against her by Megan Thee Stallion. Taking to X, formerly Twitter, Gramz revealed she had been served notice of the lawsuit through Megan’s attorney, Alex Spiro. She quoted from the notice and furthered, “Of course we’ll chat about it. They threw in the tape too.”

Gramz has also promised to countersue Megan Thee Stallion, going full on to show she will fight back in the allegations. She shared, allegedly, a quote from Megan’s lawyer accusing her of being a “paid surrogate” of Tory Lanez.

Megan Thee Stallion is one of those rappers who has some of the most powerful lyrics in the industry, and she demands respect across the board from fans. She has spoken candidly about the emotional and physical toll the shooting has taken. Immediately following a pool party at Kylie Jenner’s home this past July 2020, the incident has become a point of trauma for the rapper. She has made a bravery of sharing her story of how Lanez allegedly shot her in the feet during a heated argument.

In the aftermath of the shooting, Megan also had to go through skepticism and even backlash from a certain segment of the public and media. However, she held her head high, publicly naming Lanez as the shooter, which led to his arrest and subsequent legal troubles. Lanez was convicted and sentenced to ten years in prison for his actions in August 2023. Yet, the emotional scarring remains very much alive, and recent allegations by Gramz are only adding to Megan’s agony.

She uses her platform to advocate for victims and stresses that support is needed with regard to understanding. Her lyrics continue to tell stories of her life experiences out loud, so relatable, resonating within all of her fans who are engaged by her authenticity and strength.

As the case unfolds, it will be exciting to see not only how this will affect Megan’s career but the greater conversation about misinformation and accountability in the digital age. Until now, Megan stands strong, armed to fight her truth and use that platform to stand up for her own fans.
