MFN RELL’s quiet demeanor followed him to HypeFresh’s table for an interview. The artist, dapper in his urban wear, humbly obliged to answer a few questions.
From recording his first track at a funeral in 2015, MFN RELL has been pursuing music through genres within his wide discography of HIS album, Runnin’ On Fumes and a mixtape, This Wild Lyfe and now three EPs.
MFN RELL’s sound coasts through Indie, R&B, Neo Soul, and recently he created several ambient trap inspired tracks. He is an upcoming artist from East Texas. The twenty-two year old has deep hip-hop roots from early influences like, Outkast, Pimp C, and Bobby Womack. Also present influences like KEY!, Baby Keem, and Childish Gambino.
MFN RELL dropped his first album in August 2021 called Runnin’ On Fumes, which includes his hit song, “How You Feel” featuring Henadeaux.

Who is MFN RELL?
MFN RELL: I’m a 22-year-old from East Texas. I’m a musical artist, I’m very versatile. You know, I just dropped an album, Runnin’ On Fumes, it talks about men’s mental health. You know men, we don’t like to talk about it half the time.
What genre of music are you focusing on?
MFNR: It’s mainly hip-hop, but I have other elements. Like, I got Neo-soul, I have trap music, indie music. They all come together really nice.
Are you looking to remain and Indie artist, or do you want to migrate into the industry?
MFNR: I want to be in the industry. I’m trying to become big as I can so I can help everyone that I can.
