The New England Patriots’ rookie quarterback is making a compelling case for the rookie of the year award. Mac Jones has been performing exceptionally well in recent weeks, particularly in the game against the Cleveland Browns last Sunday. The Patriots, led by the young quarterback, convincingly defeated the Browns with a score of 45-7. One notable highlight was Jones’ impressive 23-yard pass to Patriots receiver Kendrick Bourne in the second quarter.

The impressive catch deserved applause, and the tight window throw was equally remarkable. The leaping catch between Brown defenders, John Johnson III and Troy Hill, made it to the top ten plays of week ten. It was a touchdown that concluded a 99-yard drive, supported by rookie Rhamondre Stevenson, who also had an outstanding day running the ball.
According to ESPN, this marked the third 99-yard touchdown drive during coach Bill Belichick’s tenure (2000-present). By halftime, Jones had completed nine out of ten passes for 116 yards and two passing touchdowns. Despite falling behind early in the game with a 7-0 deficit, the New England Patriots led 21-7. In the end, Jones completed 19 of 23 passes for 198 yards and three touchdowns, resulting in a quarterback rating of 83.9, as reported by ESPN.
